Basil Pesto
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups fresh basil leaves
- ¼ cup pine nuts
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1-2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ tomato
- ¼ cup olive oil
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse or chop to preferred texture. Ready to enjoy immediately!
Serve with crackers, bagel crisps, noodles, pizza, or any of your favorite Italian dishes.
P.S. I discounted this recipe for several years without realizing how incredible fresh made pesto tastes. If you have never had fresh pesto, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I encourage you to try this.
